I rarely get night sweats, but maybe 1 or 2 times a year I notice waking up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat. Last night/early this morning I woke up hot and drenched in sweat.
I know that I’m just about to start my period, and in fact, as of writing this today I believe my period is slowly starting up with more heavy spotting.
I’m on CD29, which is about when I expect to get my period.
I also rarely get PMS symptoms like sore breasts. Last night I noticed I had sore breasts.
I know that night sweats and hot flashes are usually a pre-menopausal symptom, but I’m hoping that it’s not that. I’m 36, and I think hot flashes usually happens closer to mid-40’s and 50’s?
Before I bring up this problem with my doctor, I just wanted to see if I’m just being paranoid, and if it’s more likely to be PMS. Does anyone else get night sweats as a PMS symptom?

I personally get night sweats during my period. I have had hot flashes too while PMSing since I was 15.

I’ve gotten got flashes with PMS since I was 23 (probably earlier, but at 23 I started paying more attention to my symptoms and cycle in general) and its super annoying. One of my most hated PMS symptoms that signal to me that I’ve definitely ovulated.

I think so, because I definitely get this too. Not every month but a few times per year I’d say.

I get them every single month right before and during my period. I’ve asked my doctor a million times why and she said I’m likely more sensitive to hormone changes. It’s super annoying!!

Yep, I’ve been getting these every few months since I was 25, right before my period starts. It’s super annoying!

Thanks for all your experiences! It alleviates some of my anxiety. I am not entirely sure what happened, but I ended up feeling dizzy and vomiting.
So, I may have had some bug, or it was a combination of PMS and a bug.
I’m definitely going to track more symptoms now.

I THINK and please don’t quote me I think that night sweats can be as a result of low progesterone. Have a look into it…I’m sure I read that somewhere.
