Just have a question…
I worked my butt off last night at the gym, made the best time i have in a while on my 5 mile run and i ate SO good all day yesterday, but when i got on the scale this morning i gained! And it doesn’t make any sense to me… its that time of the month, could it just be that im bloated? there is no way i gained that much when i worked so hard!!!
Any other bee’s ever have this happen or think that this could be the reason? I guess i could have hitten a platue too, just really frusturating when you expect to go down on the scale and it says you went up!!!

Of course! I retain up to 8 pounds of water. Take some midol if you can and just drink extra water.

Hard workouts will also make you retain water, generally. Your muscles will retain water to rebuild/repair from the workout. So definitely the combination of PMS and an intense workout, you’re definitely retaining water.

Yup! Usually during my TOM the scale goes up 1-2 pounds.

Thanks ladies! That makes me feel better, im trying to loose a few more pounds by my wedding next week and almost cried when i got on the scale this morning. i thought it was because i probably retainted water but i needed a few more opinions! Thank you!!

I usually retain water a week before my period and during my period so I know I can gain anywhere from 3-8lbs depending on water weight, which is so damn annoying especially when trying to keep a diet and work out regime….but I just remember that it’s not me, okay it’s me, but it’s my body betraying my efforts..lol…
