No.  I went through the same thing with my baby boy.  (Who’s now an adult, lol).  Poor you!  It’s so hard, this is the worst stage.  But my doctor told me a lot of times the more sick the mother is the heathier the baby!  (That makes you feel so much better, right?).  ๐Ÿ˜‰

If your nausea continues to be very severe contact your doctor, by all means.  Sometimes they have good suggestions and there’s even a medication you can take (I couldn’t keep it down, though).

But your baby is safe and sound in there, so no need to worry about that, you can’t throw him or her up, lol.  Morning sickness only hurts the mommy.  Good luck, I hope you feel better soon.  I was almost at six months before I started feeling better from it and got down to only one puke per day instead of twelve.

@Sunshine09:  I had horrible, horrible morning sickness AND a really bad stomach flu at about 8 or 9 weeks that I was hospitalized for, and if that didn’t harm the baby, I don’t think that anything could! I am 19 weeks, and the baby looks great. I did worry at the time because it was so severe at times felt like I was going to, like, barf the baby out. Hang in there!

Sunshine09– No baby is perfectly fine. When I was pregnant with my Dirty Delete I would throw up so hard I would scare Darling Husband. It was aweful. This go around I’ve thrown up twice (so far) and it hasn’t been nearly that bad although my Dirty Delete thinks it’s pretty darn funny. The harder I would puke the harder she would laugh. (she will be 2 at the end of the month) Ask your doctor for some relief. Zofran is a big help and I drank gingerale and ate lemons like crazy my 1st pregnancy.

No.Your baby is suuuuuuper super tiny and encased in a thick muscular womb. There’s not a lot that can negatively jostle it at that stage. It’s very well protected.

Nope, as pp have said. I feel you on the heaving, though. I had massive chunks of an orange come out my nose the other night. Blech.

Sorry you are so sick. No, I think you’ll be fine. I vomited so intensely and repeatedly my muscles hurt from the strain, and the baby is still doing fine now at 36 weeks. I remember thinking the force felt stong too but the baby was not affected.

@Sunshine09:  been there since week 9-now basically (24 weeks). As crazy as it is, the baby isn’t harmed at all by even the worst pregnancy morning sickness. Good to know, but certainly doesn’t help me feel better! Hugs to you! I’ve broken so many blood vessles in my face from dry heaving I look like I have a million freckles when I don’t. Hang in there. ๐Ÿ™ You’re not alone! I know how utterly terrible that feels! Besides pulling a muscle here or there in your neck or face or ribs- this really can’t hurt the baby. Just you. Sucks!

@Sunshine09:  Nope.  The baby is small and will take all of the nutrients they need with little jarring/effect from the puking.  No worries here.

@Sunshine09:  ๐Ÿ™ I feel so bad for you! I really do hope yours passes unlike mine. For me the prescription of Phenergan made my life bearable. Don’t be afraid to ask your doctor for a prescription- for me it’s the only thing that’s kept my prenatals down for weeks.

I’m 27 weeks (almost 28) and a little over a week ago I had a horrible stomach bug that made me vomit so hard that I ruptured blood vessels in my face. Baby is in there having a party as I type. I’m sure you will be fine! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’d say no. I went through the violent vomiting/dry heaving, and all was well!
