@Bunni0929:  I ordered a dress that needed that measurement from a bridal store, and I did it with the shoes.  Hopefully someone who did an internet order can confirm though!

@Bunni0929:  Yes, you have to take into account heel height.

The measurement does NOT take your heels into consideration since you could be wearing flats or a low heel or a high heel, etc. I did a hollow to hem measurement for my dress and we took the measurement while I was wearing my wedding shoes. Hope that helps!

Definitely go too long over too short… Standard wedding dresses are actually made for someone 6′ tall!

Hollow to Hem measurements should be taken WITH your wedding shoes on.  I ordered my dress in a bridal salon and needed my wedding shoe height to determine the length

@Bunni0929:  Like others have said, take shoes into account when measuring. Since you haven’t gotten yours yet, do you know what height heel you want to wear? If not, I’d try on the highest you would possibly wear and use that measurement. Like you said, it’s easier to take off length!
