For example, how does it work? I am really confused. No, I have not met with a baker yet, but I have talked with him on the phone.
If I want multiple tiers, are there different layers in each tier with different fillings? I just am so confused at this wedding cake situation and deciding which flavors, I don’t even know what’s going on!!!!!! AHHHH

I’m pretty sure you can do whatever you want.
We are having all our tiers be the same flavor. The cake will be lemon pound cake. Then in each cake tier, there are three layers of filling – the top and bottom are strawberry and the middle is orange buttercream. So when the cake is sliced, it will go from the top: frosting, cake, strawberry filling, cake, orange filling, cake, strawberry filling, cake, the plate. It will be pretty. I based the idea off a picture I saw on brides.com.
You can have each tier be different. Like, chocolate cake on one tier and carrot cake for another. They don’t even have to compliment each other, since guests would only get one slice (or more if they want more, I guess).

That sounds sooo pretty! Now, I never even gave one thought to how it will look plated … hmm

Don’t worry, once you meet with a baker you will fingure it out. We are having multiple tiers each tier is a different flavor. You can start looking around online designs to see what you like/have an idea of what you like. Good luck.
