Depending on what version of Word you have, this might work…

Set the alignment to “left aligned” and type the first name in.

Double click on the end of the line.  The cursor should move to the right hand side.

Type in the second name.  It should be right-aligned, and the first name should stay left-aligned.

I made up some examples formatted for Word 2003 and Word 2007.  Download the one for whatever version of Word you have.  Hopefully that helps!

EDIT:  Looks like I’m not allowed to upload Word documents.  Hopefully the directions above help at least.  🙂

If all else fails open up your drawing toolbar and insert a text box and place it where you want.  If you do this you will probably just have to center it with your eyes (I don’t think there is a feature to center a text box in word). If you do this you will probably need two text boxes (one for the first column and one for the second column)

I don’t know if adding colums to your document would help? Then you could just do center alignment.
