I like them thick so they hold it all in haha. Not true flimy leggings. Agreed about J Crew pixie pant. Gap’s “bi-stretch skinny ankle pant” are also a good legging hybrid.

BostonStacy :  I LOVE leggings especially the ones from h&m I wear them all the time. I like to wear them under dresses or really long shirts (sort of the same thing because I am only 5 ft tall lol). They are so comfy! And I don’t like having bare legs at work under dresses because I do a lot of bending over etc.

I love leggings in winter as I hate jeans. Unless I’m just walking the dog I still need my butt covered by something else though, so I guess I haven’t fully embraced the trend! I wear them with my dresses that I would otherwise find too short, and boots, and it’s super cute and easy! I’m so much more comfy than when I thought jeans were the only option and actually look more put together.

This post inspired me to go out and wear my new LuLaRoe leggings and then instantly get self conscious that my shirt wasn’t long enough. 😂

I find it hard to find leggings that are 100% opaque. So when I wear them I usually pair them under tunics or mini-dresses so my bum is covered.

I like wearing them in the fall to give extra wearability to outfits that are more summer-worthy (ie: putting them under a mini-dress). I’d also like to note that I am 5’10, so lots of dresses are ‘mini’ on me. Leggings just give me more fashion ‘options’.

BostonStacy :  I buy the ones Vera Wang makes for Kohl’s. They’re relatively cheap and pretty thick, so you won’t see through them!

Depends on the weather for me.

I wear cotton if it’s a casual look, but at the gym I liek spandex. In the winter I like thermal. The most unfrigivng fabric but so warm

I despise leggings, but I wear them every day for work (it’s that or jeans which I hate even more). I purchase mine from Target since they’re only $10 and I wasn’t about to drop mega cash on something I don’t even like/want, and I’ve never had a problem with them looking sheer. I only purchase the gray and black ones. I wear them with boots and oversize t-shirts or flowy tops to cover my bum and front area. Simple, boring, “comfy” (blegh) outfit, but professional (and feminine) enough if you work on a mega casual farm like I do.

In my opinion, leggings are not pants. I wear them as I would tights, with a top/dress that covers all of my butt and such.

I have running leggings/capris and those are solely used for running. Are they comfy? HECK YES. But again, not pants.

I do leggings with a longer shirt all the time in fall/winter. a) they’re way more comfortable than jeans and b) they’re easy. And I’m all about easy.

pinkshoes :  I was having a hard time finding enough tunic tops to wear with leggings, too.  I discovered the really long tank tops for layering (I found some at Target, for example) that work well with covering what you want covered if your top happens to be a tad bit too short to wear with leggings.  Examples:

Woa so many great legging suggestions in this thread…Can someone explain to me how LuLaRoe works? Do you need to find a consultant and order through them?

littlegraykitten :  with LuLaRoe you buy through different consultants but you can be apart of a group online (run by one or more consultants) and buy from them without ever having to go to a party or their house.

The only thing with LuLaRoe is their sizing for anything but leggings is all over the place. So if you’re interested in things other than leggings, either estimate your size based on their size chart (which is individual to each piece, not universal for all of their stuff!) or try on if you know a consultant or someone having a party.
