It definitely happens! I have discovered from two surprise pregnancies that I ovulate much later than I thought (like CD 21-28).

I got pregnant on CD41 wtih my daughter.  Got my first test showing BFP on CD50.  I have PCOS and showed postive OPK’s 2 different times before the 3rd positve OPK leading to ovulation.  We had given up on the cycle but decided to BD just one last time because the mood struck.  We’re so glad that we did!!

Yes, me! Of a typical 34 day cycle, I got a positive opk on cycle day 31 and we BD. I figured that wasn’t enough and AF would show up, but I was wrong. I got a positive pregnancy test at 9/11 DPO (from what the baby measures, it seems I ovulated 2 days after my positive opk which is the reason for my DPO uncertainty).

Hey! I’m 24 weeks now and apparently ovulated late. I wasn’t tracking anything to be honest though, just not preventing and hoping for the best.

Here’s a breakdown of the month I got pregnant and what my OB says.

Period 6th-11th

I *thought* I ovulated on the 20th or 21st. (CD15/16) We BD 20th, 21st, 22nd and 25th. My OB says I likely ovulated on the 25th actually, making that CD20. And I have a very regular 29 day cycle.

I can tell you, without a shadow of a doubt, I implanted on the 30th (CD25) because I vividly remember being at a little cousins grad party, feeling awful and on the way home having this major pinching feeling.  That was a Saturday. On tues morning I had a very light BFP.

I hope that helps!

I ovulated on CD 25 or 26 when I got pregnant with DS! It was our 4th cycle trying and all other cycles I ovulated closer to CD 17 so it was good luck for me!

my first pregnancy sadly ended in a MMC but I did conceive after O’ing on CD 35! The MC and the late O were not related πŸ™‚

This time I didn’t ovulate til CD 31. From what I understand it’s the luteal phase where length matters, not the follicular phase.

So yes, it is very possible!

ladyvictoria :  Friend, I’m glad you got your blazer, and there is hope for a late ovulation. I didn’t ovulate with my daughter until CD35. Let me tell you, that was one long stressful cycle, but it got me my baby girl so it was worth it! Hop back on that horse for the next three days just to cover your bases, even doing twice a day to get more sperm in there, and you can rest easy. Good luck!!!
