Hi ladies! I need a little help from the dress experts. My dh and i are hoping to tcc (or at least ntnp) starting next month and I’m super excited about that. However, my SIL is getting married in early August. On the chance that we actually get pregnant in the next month or two, how alterable is that mori lee bridesmaid dress? I’m a size 2 now for reference. Any ideas? Thanks girls!

@CoffeeBeanKate: What size did you order the dress in?
Let’s say you get pregnant 1/1/14 for convienence, and the wedding is 8/1/14.
You’d be about 30 weeks pregnant. You could show huge and have gained 30-40lbs and need a dress significantly larger, or you could have gained 15-20lbs and be carrying in your back and only need one size up.
I’d look around the bump threads! It should give you a general idea.

@BrandNewBride: I’m going in to get measured with my SIL and Mother-In-Law on monday. I’m a little smaller than a davids bridal 2 when i got measured earlier in the year for a different wedding, but I’m fairly tall too which supposedly helps with carrying well. Anyway it might not even be an issue but my dh let it slip that we’re trying and my SIL kind of freaked out a little. I’ll check the bump threads too tho!
I know a good seamstress can work wonders so i was hoping someone had had to let this dress out before and knew if it worked.

@CoffeeBeanKate: I would definitely get it a few sizes too big, just to be safe! Dresses are always WAY easier to take in than to let out!
