So my cousin sent me the pictures she took. The ones I love I really love, but there are a few that just erk me. The tulle is showing under my beautiful scalloped lace hem, ruining the affect! I am so ticked at myself because two weeks before the wedding I had the seamstress re do the hem. I found that I kept tripping over it and I wanted to be able to dance (I wore flats all day). Now I just wish I had let it be…
My cousin says she is going to try to fix it, but she didn’t sound very confident.
Am I being over critical?
I had just wanted the seamstress to make it so the scalloped hem just touched the floor (it was a good 1/2 inch on the floor before).

Anything is possible in editing software, but if a client were to ask me to fix that it’d be beyond the scope of my abilities to do it without it being an obvious edit. I’d outsource it to a re-touching company to tackle at their expense.

Honestly, I didn’t even notice till you pointed it out. I had looked at your pictures earlier and didn’t see anything strange. You look beautiful!

Can it be done? Yes.
Will it be easy? Definitely not.
Can every photographer do it? Definitely not.
Would it be expensive if you were paying someone to do it? Definitely.
I think you’re overreacting. I didn’t even notice it until you pointed it out.

@Silver Plum Fairy: I would have to try it with the high res one but I’m a graphic designer and I think it’s definitely doable and wouldn’t be too difficult. I tried it on the low res one and it didn’t seem to be too challenging (this was like super quick – 2 minutes so don’t judge it too much haha).
ETA: If you want to send me the high res pictures I could try one for you. 🙂

@Puppy Love: Thanks so much! I don’t think I have any high res. None were really taken from far off to show the whole dress. This is perfect for me though. I know I’m being silly, but to me that made all the difference in the picture.

It’s not an easy edit but its not terribly hard. What it would be is time consuming. If a client asked me to do that I’d charge them about $200.00 per image.

I was a designer before I was a photographer. That edit is definitely do-able but I’d give it to somene experienced with design so they can do it properly.
