Maybe, but I don’t know why you’d want to.  It’s a beautiful dress that fits you nicely, and the straps are part of what makes it so pretty.

You look GOREGOUS in the dress! Suits and flatters your figure, and it does look sexy. Just a classy version of sexy. If you really wanted to change it, it  could be done. But IMO it looks too good to alter.

Since it has boning and structure, I think that technically yes, it could. However, I think it would take a lot of work in the back. Plus I love the dress and personally wouldn’t change a thing.

However, if it’s a wow factor you want, I think you can do it to that dress quite easily. Sewing an awesome belt/sash on at the waistline would give it more flash and accentuate your amazing body shape.

@Crazyhair:  Off-the-shoulder straps are great for making your waist look even slimmer, so I’d definitely keep them (particularly as I had an off-the-shoulder dress.)

@Crazyhair:  I hated when the dress-shopping experience was over. I was so tempted to keep shopping just for the hell of it.

Once you’ve got the right size on, the neckline will sit much better and it is a classic waist-shrinking trick (for examples see 1950s evening dresses).

@Crazyhair:  You don’t need to take the straps off to make it sexy. The fit of it already makes it sexy! I think it’s beautiful.
