Can you post pics of the dress and venue?

I would definitely chop the train off or keep it bustled, but I think it’s gorgeous! Even though your venue is outdoors, is in such a beautiful, intricate setting that I think the dress really fits it.

I don’t think they go together so well, but it’s your wedding, so if you want to wear the dress, do it! I highly doubt anyone of your guests will even think twice about it. And you are going to be at the reception for much longer, so you don’t want to go with a more casual dress to accomodate the woods, and then look out of place at the reception.

I can’t see the back of the dress but I think it would look good. That’s a Maggie dress isn’t it? I recognise the model. You’d be the princess of the forest 😉

@yaneres: Its a little fancy for the “woods” theme IMO but when it comes down to it..its your wedding and your taste and a dress is a dress and can be worn anywhere!!! (are there any wedding dresses that SHOULD be worn at a starbucks (if you get my drift!!))  *laugh* I would do it!!

I wore a fairly ornate Maggie Dress (discontinued Chantilly) to my campground wedding and it worked out great.  I felt beautiful and people loved my dress.  If you love the dress go for it.  You only get married once, wear the dress you love!!

Nice!  We have the same venue 🙂

It’ll work!  My dress is kind of ballgowny too, and I’m going for an enchated forest vibe.

I think it would look beautiful. Very fairy princess-y!
