Both of my girls are broke, one is saving for a house and the other just got a house. So they have very little money to spend. I dont feel comfortable asking them to spend much money for my wedding. I was originally wanting them in lilac, but I’m having a hard time finding a dress in the color that I want and less than $70. Me and my mom went shopping and I saw this dress and made her try it on. I think its really cute and its a good price ($45!) I’d replace the green ribbon with a purple ribbon. But is it TOO casual? We’re not having a fancy wedding, but I do have a pretty fancy dress. So I’m just worried that my girls would look out of place next to me.
The picture shows more green than it is in real life. Its like a deep aqua.

This is my dress for reference.

Theres lots of really pretty dresses in the right color and a good price on ModCloth, but they dont feel comfortable ordering online. =/

I think it will look great! The more happy and comfortable everyone is too, it will look even better! I say go for it.

I think it’s nice and pretty! And if it’s comfortable too and within the price they like, then it’s perfect! 🙂

If a bridesmaid is wearing it, then it’s a bridesmaid dress! I think the dress looks fine, to be honest. If you’re really worried, though, maybe just tell your girls a colour to wear and let them pick any dress – that way it’s definitely in their budget and they may be able to get something slightly more formal if that’s what you’re concerned about.

I love it! I think it will look awesome with a purple sash, the only thing I’d suggest would be dressy heels. casual shoes (wedges) may make your dresses seem less dressy.

I really like it. If you don’t get it for your BMs, you should get it for your own use.

I don’t see anything wrong with the dress you pictured, and they’ll be able to wear it many times. Is anyone a good seamstress? Maybe you can convince them on the mod cloth dresses if you have someone you know lined up to do alterations if they don’t fit right?

I like the dress – I think it’s fine.
But you could always pay the difference between each of your bridemaid’s dress budget and the dress you want them to wear (or buy them for them).

I love it. Bautiful neckline. Great colour, agree with the change of colour for the belt.
Best thing is about this dress all your Bridesmaid or Best Man could wear it again lol
If your worried they’ll look underdressed. thats what accessories are for. Bling them up with some costume jewellery, or add a bit of bling to the new belt/sash?

@LeahTron: great idea with the jewelery. I inherited about half a dozen pairs of cufflinks from my grandfather – one gold pair, and many silver. I plan to wear the gold ones, and have my best man and ushers each wear one of the silver pairs for the ceremony. Perhaps you can lend them each something of meaning to you to wear for the day, and have your mother or maid of honour in charge of collecting it all up afterward. I’m going to give them art deco cufflinks to wear for our reception, as they go with our theme, and that makes sure my grandpa’s don’t go walkabout, and then they have the art deco pair as a groomsman’s gift.
