I am another guilty waiting bee; guilty of stalking (coming and going every month or so). So I figure I should jump on the bandwagon since all the cool kids are. 🙂

How you met: SUPER LONG STORY, grab some popcorn. 🙂 I met SO’s friend in 2005 (on MYSPACE no less, HAH!), we tried, it never worked out, but we stayed really close friends. He would always drag me out with his guy friends whenever I had a messy break up. In 2010, I met up with them and SO happened to be along that night. I recognized him, but no more than knowing his name. We’d met previously, but he always had a girlfriend. Apparently I had my super-sassy pants on that night because when SO came up and tried to shake my hand/introduce himself, I looked him up and down, gave a snooty look and said “Yeah, I’ve met you before.” & turned my back to him. STILL TO THIS DAY, I have no idea what came over me. That was so completely out of character. So, that night was super fun, and SO was super cute and super funny. I told my friend how I thought he was a nice guy, but I really thought he was out of my league and nothing would come of it. About a week later, I’m leaving work late, stopped at a red light, and who pulls up next to me; SO with my friend in the passenger seat. They force me to hang out with them for the night, and after that SO and I had our first “real” date. It was awful timing– super crazy amounts of pressure meeting someone new around Valentine’s Day. Ugh, never do it. Long story short– I truely believe that if I had not been late at work, I would not have stopped at that red light. They would not have stopped next to me, and I would have been moved on to someone else. Huge huge example of fate/there’s a plan for everyone. 🙂

WaitingBee Words of Wisdom (brief sentence): My favorite piece of advice? FAKE IT TIL YOU MAKE IT.
Comments (for longer story if you wish): I’m a very good advice giver, but I never listen to my own. I try to keep busy with work and friends, but as the days go by, it’s proving harder and harder. Count your blessings; Try to focus on what you have and not on what you’re missing. SO and I are part of a close-knit group of 4 couples. We have been together the longest- by a long shot, and now, we are the only non-engaged, non-expecting couple. I try so so hard not to be jealous, but I am really terrible at it. I’m tired of watching everyone get what I have dreamed of for literally my entire life. So, I’m hoping to find the support of others in the same boat as me.
(Jesus, I didn’t meant to write a book, haha!)
