When I first say a picture of Yay flags a few months ago, I fell in love with the idea. Fi and I say “Yay” all the time, after all. I’ve been a little obsessed with them since.
I’m trying to figure out the best way to incorporate these flags, or if I even should. I’ve never seen them in a real life wedding, and I wonder if my guest will get it.
Since we will be taking pictures in the church after the ceremony, we won’t be having people line up with them as we leave the church. I’m not sure if we will have grand exit from the reception, either, as it is outdoors and it will be dark. Would it be strange if we handed out flags as people entered the reception and they can wave them at their tables as we enter?
Also any of you making Yay flags? What method? When and how do you plan to use them? Feel free to post pictures – I can’t get enough of these! The pic below if from Mrs. Lollipop.

those are really cute! maybe they could be photobooth props (if you’re having one) or stick them in a budvase (like milkglass if you’re having a vintage theme) and use them as reception decor/in addition to centerpieces

@elliestan: They would look great in the photobooth! Another reason not to hand them out only at the end of the reception.

Miss Cotton Candy just did a post about these this morning with a tutorial. 🙂
I think they would be cute to wave when you enter the reception and for the photo booth!

They’re really cute! I was considering doing them as favors, but I priced it out, and it’s the same amount in supplies for me to just purchase something, and I’m already worried about our flowers (which I’ll by DIYing). 😛 I think they are awesome if you do them, though. 🙂
