I wouldn’t chance it.  It’s just a nice courtesy to the bride to avoid anything white or white-ish or off-white.  Do you have a Christmas party you can wear it to?

And actually I just looked at it (sorry I should have done that before I posted the first time) and I really think it looks like a wedding dress.  I absolutely would not wear this.

I think it would be inappropriate. I’ve actually seen some blogs post this as an inexpensive wedding dress option. It is a beautiful dress, but something in a darker color is a much better option.

Beautiful dress! But I agree with everyone else that it looks pretty similar to a bridal gown, so you should steer clear. BUT props to you for thinking about how the bride might feel! 🙂 You’re a good friend!
