I knew when I saw my dress that it was the one, but I really thought my dress would have a low back. All the ones I tried on with them were gorgeous and I thought they really flattered me. I’ve tried to do some googling on this, but I can’t find any information. Can you alter a corset dress to have a slightly lower back? Like where they come down to a V?

Maybe call up a seamstress about this? I’d also love to have the back of my dress modified, with the corset lowered a few inches. I find where it sits now, it squeezes and creates some back fat 🙁

If I were you I would call around to a few seamstresses…without seeing the back of your dress I can’t tell you one way or the other….
@budgetbride07 – when you lace you dress up don’t lace it quite as tight up top and then pull it tighter once you get about 5 loops down… 🙂

@arenyth: hi! I know you posted this awhile ago, but I have the same issue. I love my dress but would love it have a lower back. Were you able to do this alteration?

I would also like to know if anyone has had any luck having similar alterations done?

I would like to know as well – has anyone had their dress altered from a corset to a low back (with the corset still intact)?
I just bought my dress and it is perfect! Except for I always wanted a low back, and I never imagined myself in a corset style. I do love the shape it gives me, I think I’d love to corset itself if the low back could be altered.
