@adw2c: I am on the wrong side of the world to be of any help, but I wanted to say good luck! I have 4 months to completely re-plan my wedding after my venue screwed me, and I thought that was bad! You have given me hope! If you ca do it then so can I!

All I can offer as advice is that I am doing my flowers myself. No experience at all, I don’t know what I’m doing but I don’t really have anything specific that I want and I figure it’s hard to make pretty flowers look bad. I’m just going to the flower market a few days before and buying whatever they have. Not sure if you will have a market anywhere nearby, but that it one option.

I’m currently in a rush so i’ll just throw in two quick ideas for inexpensive flowers that would still look good

Michaels (or any other craft store). They have some nice and good looking fabric flowers. Make a DIY bouqet. They always have coupons and special offers when you sign up for their newsletter. They also have bouquet wraps and other stuff you can put into the bouquet

Publix sells nice fresh flowers and i think you can also place a special order and have a bouqet arranged by their florists. I hated my wedding flowers and i could have bought a beautiful 10$ bouquet at Publix instead 😉

Is there a community center in the area where your family lives?  Could they reserve it for your wedding reception?  Do you have cousins, sisters, friends, aunts, uncles in your home town?  Maybe they can have the reception at their home.  If you get an outdoor park for the wedding, could you have the reception there if it has a gazebo, covered area, community room or something of the sort?

Is your mom, or any relatives, a member of a church?  If so, can their pastor officiate?
