Have you heard all the all of the horrible stuff about Abercrombie lately? The CEO has unwanted clothes burned instead of giving them to the needy. Now there is a movement to donate all their clothes to the homeless.
What do you think about this?

Ever since I read that thing about “larger women” not being beautiful, i vowed I wouldn’t purchase anything from them again.
Thin does not equal beautiful. I’ve seen plenty of broken looking women who were thin. I’ve seen many women who are plus size [12+] and are gorgeous!
It sucks because I LOVED their hoodies, but it’s just not worth it to pay into a company that basically agrees with bullying.
I’m not saying they shouldnt be able to sell w/e clothes they can, but calling larger people ugly is just horrible.

(The giving the clothes to the homeless, not the asshole and his policy.)

I’m a thrift store / garage sale slave. I would totally do this if I found the clothes for cheap. Would anyone else?

@engleman10513: Burning unsold clothes is actually a really common thing for designer fashion houses to do because they don’t want to bring their brand image down. I think it’s crazy to do that but I can sort of understand their logic in a ‘devil’s advocate’ way.
Abercrombie & Fitch however are a high street brand that haven’t had a reputation as anything but an insane aesthetics-obsessed cult that draw you in with pastel colours and cheap perfume since the 90’s. Did you know that the owner of A&F has a private plane? Did you know that the flight attendants on this plane must all be good looking A&F staff and wear A&F clothes??? I wouldn’t be surprised if that guy was trying to engineer a master race…
I agree that they are terrible and I’ll bet you 5 bucks they’ll get homeless people to model their next collection. Oh well, at least they’ll be thin enough.
@engleman10513: Yes, totally!

I know this is late but I just wanted to add my two cents lol! I agree with jeni–as a bigger woman that really turned me off. Also, not to be an ass but the guy said he doesn’t want ugly people wearing his clothes–well that and the fact that he has had so much plastic surgery doesn’t make him the most handsome person ever!
