My Fiance and I are getting married at City Hall in San Francisco (private elopement) and we are both music lovers. We can’t imagine passing any important occasion without at least one song/dance. We are not renting a private space, but we could dance anywhere. Does anyone know if it is possible to bring either a hired musician or a record player/ipod speakers or some other device on site to play a single song after the exchange of vows?

@sinc2012: I’m going to guess they do since this page has Music vendor suggestions: http://sfgsa.org/index.aspx?page=1049
Probably best to call! I bet it depends on which space you want.

Can’t answer the question about the music but I just have to say I remember seeing photos of it a while back and this is just a GORGEOUS place to get married. Congrats and good luck with every thing 🙂

I love San Francisco city hall, so beautiful. My Fiance just shot a wedding there and the pictures were amazing, the architecture is gorgeous.
I’m pretty sure it depends on where you are getting married. On the top of the stairs (where I have seen allot of weddings) do not allow any type of music. They may however allow non amplified music in other areas based on this photo.
The vendor list I assume is for bigger events not small intimate weddings.
