Hello weddingbees! I’m getting married March 5th, and my colors are Navy Blue and Silver (die hard cowboys fans unfortunately LOL). Anyhoo, I was wondering if having a navy blue pintuck tablecloth on 60″ rounds and then having a silver pintuck runner over it is too much? I’ve seen very few pictures of tables having both so it made me think if most brides and/or decorators think it’s overdoing it. I’ll also be alternating the tables half navy blue tablecloths and half silver tablecloths. My alternative is to have alternating satin tablecloths and then using 2 pintuck runners OR a pintuck overlay. Any opinions or have any of you successfully used both pintuck tablecloths and pintuck runners in your reception decor? Thanks for any advice or input! 🙂

@bgnesa12:
I think using both may be pintuck overload. Personally I think a satin tablecloth with a pintuck runner would be nice, the lines on the runner would remind me of the gridiron! I just recently took a tour of my daughters venue, which was all set for a reception, that couple had football players pictures as their table id. Just thought I would share that …
Best of luck to you!

IMO, alternate the colors – some blue some silver, but eliminate the runners. Pintucks look best alone 🙂

I would probably use a solid under cloth with the pintuck overlay. Or just a full pintuck table cloth if it’s an option.
I kind of think it might be a little bit much, but also, why waste the money on pintuck (at my rental place it was MUCH more expensive than a regular table cloth) that you’re just going to cover up.

I personally love pintuck fabric as well! If you are going to alternate colors of the tablecloths, eliminate the runners. I would think it would look too “busy” at first glance if all the tables are different colors.

I had this same question. Has anyone thought of napkins? Do you need a pintuck napkin if you have pintunk linens (runners, overlay..etc). Or will satin or polyester be fine?

I’ve seen polyester with pintuck and it looks totally fine!

I think it will look great with the theme, and if you like it thats what matters.
