I only really drink red wine, so I won’t comment on the white, but I’d vote for Red Guitar Old Vine Tempranillo for your red. Super delicious, fairly dry but not too intense, and made to be enjoyed with tapas and Spanish food (which isn’t Mexican, but close enough, right?)

I always drink red zin with mexican food… not sure why. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’d do pinot grigio for a white.

Sangria is festive, but a little sweet for some people.

I agree with a Tempranillo for the red, I think that’s a good call.  Even a Malbec could be good too.  As far as the white, go mid-ground with a Pinot Grigio.

I would do a pinot grigio for white, and I personally prefer a pinot noir or cab sauv for red!

If you’re not too into wine and want to stay in a budget, go for Seven (red wine blend of Spain) its really modestly proiced box wine and its very good. Black box also has a fantastic Pinot Grigio. Both are available at Costco! Good luck.

I had Gnarly Head Cab with turkey taco salad recently and it was very good!  I also like their Pinot Grigio.  I like a Pinot Noir or Cab for red, and a Pinot Grigio or dry Chardonnay for white with your food choices.

OK not trying to be rude or anything, but if you have a lot of Mexicans attending, I would suggest white zin… I noticed most Mexicans in my family do not like white wine, unless its white zin. Other than that, I would suggest cabernet, zinfandel, or a pinot noir (my fav). I had a ton of chardonnay left after my wedding, and the white zin was gone quick!! haha. But really, find out what your fam likes and go from there too.

I second pinot noir (love it)!  But, I also like zinfandels (not white).  I’m not too picky when it comes to red.  As far as white… definitely, err on the drier side with tacos and enchiladas… not sure how a sweet wine would taste, but it doesn’t sound appetizing!

Okay, if you like a sweeter wine, then make sure that you have it!  But, definitely provide a drier option, too.  Let us know what the wine expert says… it would be great to know what she says!  Smile
