I went shopping this weekend for a dress and I think I might have found the perfect dress for me. The catch – no photography until purchase, they won’t tell me the designer, or even tell me what designers the carry. Their website was very vague and did not list their designers. They don’t even let you in the room with the dresses alone so I couldn’t sneak a picture. I want mom to see it, but she is 6 hours away and can’t make the trip to see the dress.
So I’m hoping some bees would be able to help me identify the dress based on a sketch I made. I know it is a popular cut and style so maybe I can find something similar, even if I can’t find the exact dress.
Here are my sketches:
Here’s what I remember:
– Sweetheart neckline
– Pleated/rouched bodice
– Beaded/crystal/rhinestone attached belt
– Box pleats that begin at the hip bone and continue around back
– Plain skirt, ball gown – but not extremely full
– V-back, rouching/pleats continued from front
– Zip closure with fabric covered buttons all the way down the train
– Every fifth or sixth fabric button covered with rhinestones
– Average train
The salon did give me a style number, but I think it was unique to the store. It was three digits. I don’t have it now, but can look it up tonight. Google searches with that number didn’t come up with anything. The listed price was $1100.00.
So is this familiar to anyone? Thanks, in advance, for your help!

It looks similar to my dress, but not exactly the same. (Mine is the La Sposa Singapur). Not sure if that’ll help you at all, but at least its sort of similar?

Thanks for your suggestions!
@LittleMissPolkaDot: That one is really close! The belt wasn’t as wide and the rhinestones were a bit denser. The skirt wasn’t gathered at the waist, but pleated. It’s really pretty in the blossom color!

Casablanca 2007 is a similar style but no buttons all down the back:

Could it be Alvina Valenta 9902? Although that’s more expensive than their list price. That’s the only one I can think of right now – I hope you find it!

I think the button detail you described is an Allure thing.

I’d second that it might be an Allure. Mine is very similar to that without the beaded belt but its an allure. Someone also just told me that Allure can add on rhinestone buttons so it could have been a slightly modified version?

I thought allure 8802 first but it doesn’t have the buttons.

Take a look at this dress.
Holy balls, my dress is here!!!
She says is the 8802 but it does have the buttons

Thanks so much everyone! I’m going to comb through the Allure website to see what I can find. All of the dresses are so close, but none are the exact match.
I was looking through reviews of the bridal salon and found this one:
“I have been wedding dress shopping and researching a LOT the past few months both in stores and online. There are many chinese wholesale websites where you can buy knock off designer dresses for HUNDREDS of dollars cheaper than the real ones. “Dress Salon” is buying these kock off dresses and then selling them for the actual designer prices OR MORE! They are at least being somewhat honest and not advertising these as the real designers, but are using the expensive designer prices OR MORE!!! If you try dresses on there, you will notice no designer tags and tags that say made in china. Before realizing this scam, I tried on 2 knock off mori lee dresses there. Look exactly like the mori lee dresses, but you can buy the actual designer mori lee dresses for cheaper, and if you want a knock off from china they are EVEN cheaper! price example: actual mori lee dress $610 knock off price: $179. Dress Salon price: $890!!! “
Obviously, this could be written by anyone, but it makes me wonder.
I will say that my consultant was extrememly nice and helpful. She did seem truly sorry that I couldn’t take pictures.

A couple more, neither of them is exactly right but I thought I would post anyway:
Tara Keely 2152: http://www.jlmcouture.com/Tara-Keely/Bridal/Fall/2011/Style-2152
Christina Wu 15455: http://www.christinawu.net/Wedding-Gown-15455/
Btw you should also check out Justin Alexander. I tried on JA 8609 and it had the button detail you describe, plus the price was very close to what you were quoted. The 8609 is not your dress, but JA may be the designer.
