Do you actually go in there and check for mucus? (sorry, Too Much Information, I know!) Many women only have mucus near the cervix and never actually see it come out. I am one of those people. I also rarely had physical symptoms. I never used OPKs because I felt they were tricky, the LH surge happens randomly and it’s hard to catch. I temped in the mornings to confirm ovulation and it was much more accurate. It’s unlikely with regular cycles that you are not ovulating.

If your cycle is 31 days you should ovulate on CD 17 or right around there. I’d use OPKs CD 14- 19 if I were you.

I tracked my ovulation for a few months before ttc, just to get the hang of it. Then the first cycle of actual ttc it all went weird! Seems to be back to normal now. Just to let you know you’re not alone.

Riley85:  Yes you can ovulate with no symptoms. Not everyone will experience ovulation symptoms. And yes you can have regular cycles & and not ovulate. Though that is rare. My doctor did say for women with no fertility issues and with regular cycles each month, maybe one cycle a year you will not ovulate during it. PP is right check up near your cervix for the mucus, it’ll give you abetter  perspective. TTC does crazy things to our bodies. That’s why you hear many women say it happened for them when they were the most relaxed and not thinking about it too much. Easier said than done right?! Lol

Are you checking temperature too? Have you read Taking Charge of Your Fertility? It’s a great book and I suggest reading it if you’re trying to get pregnant. And if you’re trying to not get pregnant.

Riley85:  I came off the nuvaring at Christmas, seemed to have 4 normal cycles, but wasn’t ttc. Then when we said we would actually start ttc, I had a 50 days cycle and a 45 days cycle! I bought ‘Taking charge of your fertility’ and started charting. This cycle seems to be going normally, judging by temps.

I see now that I was over-confident at the start – ‘I’ve read the instructions, how hard can it be?’ 😉

Part of me was certain I would get pregnant on my first attempt. But I’m trying to take a more relaxed approach now, have accepted that it prob won’t happen straight away.

so, I guess my advise is to just relax (most annoying advice ever, right?), and start charting. Good luck! May the hormones be with us! 😉
