Can you put your ring on a necklace or will it rub?

claire345 :  I have thought about this as well as I am pregnant and my fingers will swell soon. However I think I am against it because it makes it easier for theft. Curious to hear other responses though!

I do wear a ring as a necklace but it is kind of a square-ish band worn on a thin two strand chain. Make sure you get a really good quality chain.

claire345 :  I wore mine on a necklace last summer – my fingers swell when I’m hot and hiking and I was on that kind of vacation.  The ring was fine, technically, but the necklace (sterling) reacted with my sunscreen and sweat and tarnished the crap out of my ring (also silver).  So if you do it, make sure you get quality.  There are necklaces made specifically for the purpose, too.  Or, have you considered getting a silicone ring to wear at work instead?

I have a Dad who because of his work will not wear a wedding band on his finger yet on a chain. He says that is more safer and you always know wear it is around your neck lol.

I wear mine also on a chain when I go out for a few drinks. So people can see them but also they are safe, will not slip off and no one can take them. I can wear them worry free.

I think to I tent to notice rings more when they are on a chain (Don’t know why just do). Nothing wrong with it. looks good, safe and also you will always know were they are.

When you pick the chain for it just ask who is serving you the best one. They don’t hurt the ring if you get a good chain. And don’t leave them at home. Show them off as I said people look at them more and you get to share you specal story about them.
