It’s cheesy but we both loved the 5 love languages by gary chapman. It’s christian leaning, but we both really enjoyed it. There is a reason everyone recommends it!

We read the seven principles for making marriage work and I thought it was helpful too.  We read it together, I’d read a chapter, pass it over and then we’d discuss.

We’re in the process of reading through ‘The Most Important Year of a Man/Woman’s Life’ – its a double sided book (one half is for men, the other for women). It’s definitely a Christian-based book, but its part of our pre-marriage counselling…so far so good!

Ooo good recommendations! I’m definitely going to look into these books, we don’t have premarital counseling till September, since we’re getting married out of town.
