I recently ordered parent albums through Adoramapix. Overall, I was happy with the books, but on two pages, there was a black line going through the bottom of the photo and background. I thought I had been so careful in catching these things yet these were pretty obvious. So I went back to my account online and looked at the preview. What i found was when I went straigt to the pages where the lines were, I could see them while it was still blurry and not fully loaded on my screen. Once the page “loaded” and I was looking at the full preview, I could no longer see the lines. So clearly when i had been working on the book, i never opened these pages before the whole preview had fully loaded and therefore never saw the lines…..So then, I played around with it and saw that UNDER the picture and background that I had in place, the black lines were there (they were originally part of the template I used). So I did not delete them as I no longer could see them on top and they were not visible on the final product preview.
What I found strange was that they showed up in printing even though they were not visible on my preview. So i contacted Adoramapix – now they got back to me and are claiming that the black lines ARE visible and so there is nothing they can do about it. It ends well though because despite this, they are giving me a one time courtesy and letting me fix and reorder the book at no charge.
BUT I still want to know if I am crazy or what, because I just checked again and DO NOT see the black lines once the preview is fully loaded. And ya, i guess it bothers me that they clearly think I was trying to scam them into fixing a mistake I was aware of.
Can you look at page 8 and page 60 and tell me if you see the thin black line at the bottom of the page? On page 8, it would be at the bottom of the picture and on page 60, it would be below the picture, but from what I can see, the background I used covers it up. Maybe it is the browser I am using that is not letting me see it??
