(Closed) Can you sew in a belt to a corset back dress?

I haven’t personally done that, but I worked in a bridal salon for a while and saw a lot of people doing it. It looks totally fine! It works whether the belt goes across the corset or if it gets sewn onto the edge where the corset starts. Good luck m’dear 🙂

You would have to sew it on one side and have snaps or something on the other, otherwise you won’t be able to get the dress on. If you just sewed it on one side and then tied it in the front, it might stay well enough anyways.

My dress had a thick belt (I think technically a cumberbund?) and my seamstress cut it in the back and attached it so it came right to the edge of the corset on each side. My corset ended up being too narrow but the belt looked good, lol!

Sure! I would attach it at the corset closure, so the seamstress doesn’t have to try to sew through the side boning!
