(Closed) Can you wear black to weddings?

You should try to avoid it if you can, at least if you live in Scandinavia, since it is considered a funeral color, and it is saved for such occasions. Especially the elderly might take offense if you show up in all black, even if you wear “fun colored” accessories. 

I know that it may sound a bit dated, but sometimes it’s better to be safe than sorry, and it is not worth the risk of offending some poor elderly person, some even think that it is really disrespectful towards the newly married couple (I know my late grandmother would think that), so I’d definately not do it. It is a way of showing grief, and a wedding is not a place for that!

But I am sure you can find a similar dress style in another color elsewhere? 🙂 It was very pretty indeed, but at least not super “unique”! 🙂

WesterosBarbie :  Was she crying because the moh commented on her outfit? I think they should have left her alone. I would have been horrified to find out someone made a guest of mine cry.
