I don’t even come close to being able to zip mine up by myself! I was a bit worried about this too, so I am curious to see what other ladies have to say.

Zip up my own? Probably… but I’d need someone to latch the hooks on the inside anyway.

Nope.. it was way too tight to zip up myself, and I can normally zip or button anything up myself.

Nope can’t do it. I’m afraid I’ll probably need help to go pee on my wedding day.

I could do it, but it wasn’t easy and I needed help with the clasp at the top.

Nope, I had help on that one.. I don’t think I know anyone who could do this especially with the zipper in the back..

Nope. It’s too big, but the way I am shaped and the way it is shaped, I have to have it all in just the right place to zip up. I can’t lift it up to reach the last two inches and then tug it back down in place. So no, I can’t reach into the middle of my shoulder blades at the right angle to get the last two inches.

Well my dress has button all up the back, so I DEFINATELY can’t do that myself!

Yes, I’ve zipped mine up and it’s in the back. It wasn’t easy, but I somehow managed. Haha.

I can’t imagine many women can though. Like I said, I still had a tiMe doing so but I was determined.

I can get it about an inch to the top with the clasp close, but then it gets to a point where I can’t bend my arm that way. Yet, others can zip it pretty easily.

Mine is a corset so I’m not much help..but I had a big dress with pintucks and all that had a zipper as a bridesmaid in my sisters wedding..and I can tell you, it’s exactly right. You should most definitely NOT be able to zip it up yourself. If you can, it’s not tight enough. My dress for my sisters wedding wasn’t even all that easy for someone else to zip up and neither was any of the other bridesmaid’s dresses, lol. They’re supposed to fit like a glove. 🙂

edit: don’t feel bad about getting the alteration. If you got 1 inch taken in and it still fits, you NEEDED it. Especially if it’s a strapless, you don’t want to be pulling your dress up all night. Someone will still be happy to buy it i’m sure, even with the alteration.
