Are you sure the won’t accept them? If theyre just changing them now it would make sense that they would. Why don’t you go to a post office and ask?

You must be able to just go to the post office and pay the 2 cents, otherwise that’s the most ridiculous business practice ever.

And as PP mentioned, are they P stamps? Those are good forever at any rate.

Do your stamps have a P on them or the actual price? As far as I am aware the stamps with a P on them are universal and valid regardless of the price changes. Otherwise, I think if you go to the post office with the letters that have the $.063 stamp on them you can manually pay the $.02 price difference

You can purchase stamps in 1 cent increments. Especially around the time that they change the price like this. Make sure you go to an actual Canada Post (not a Shopper’s Drug Mart, etc.) and ask for additional postage.

Get 1c stamps or P stamps if you can still find them. If you want to find 65c stamps now to use April 1 onwards, try another Post Office (drug store offices are really hit or miss for me) as I picked up a roll of 65c stamps a couple weeks ago.

Prices are actually going to go up even further, to 85c when purchased in rolls or booklets, and $1 for individual stamps.

Ummm, they are changing it to 85 cents, if you buy a roll of 100 stamps. Individual stamps will be $1.00.

you may still be able to buy the P stamps at Costco. If you do not have a membership they only take cash.

Go to a Canada Post outlet in a rexall or sobeys, they should have 1c stamps. Make sure you get you invitations weighed too or they will be sent back.

Carmabelle:  From what I know, Canada Post changed their rates from $0.63 to $0.85 effective March 31st.

babeba:  In my area, the permanent stamps sold out on Christmas Eve at Costco. Shortly after that, Canada Post recalled all of them at their locations until after March 31st (I guess to avoid people stocking up). I wanted to get a roll but I oculd only gets the books of 10. So $0.63 stamps have been on sale everywhere, and then after March 31st, they’ll release the new $0.85 stamps, and also the new permanent stamps (at a cost of $0.85)
