Are you signing during the ceremony?
Or before? Or after? In private?
I am trying to decide…
I don’t know if I want to rent a signing table (it’s an outdoor ceremony) and go through the trouble of decorating it (you do have to decorate a signing table, right? Lol). I would just do a white table cloth and put our bouquets in vases I guess……..
Or if I just want to eliminate that awquard pause before the kiss….
But I am also wondeing if people are expecting to see the signing….
What did you do and what do you think?

Our harp player is filling in the time with some music, I think it happens at a small table in the church, or in the back room.

We’re signing during – I know it’s common to do it before/after but I guess I’m just the pragmatic type that says it’s not official until it’s on paper! I don’t think people actually care though – I know at weddings I’ve been to I don’t really notice either way.

I will sign during. My dad is going to play music during it so I think it will be a nice quiet moment

The weddings I’ve been to all sign during the ceremony. So we will do it too, just seems normal to me. And it will help flush out our super simple ceremony haha!

My Canadian friends signed during their ceremony!

We signed during. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a wedding where, as a guest, I didn’t see the signing! There’s usually some tunes playing in the background, so no cricket silence.
We also did a sand ceremony, so we used the same table for both. All we did was put a white table cloth on it, some tulle aroud the edges, and leftover confetti on top. Nothin’ special.

We’re signing during our ceremony. We have a DJ doing music, so he’ll play a specific song during that time. The only decoration on that table is going to be a tablecloth. When we walk over to sign, my maid of honour will set my flowers down on the table, so that’ll jazz it up some more temporarily lol.
I’m also pretty sure in Ontario, the license form actually says “to be filled out during or after” the ceremony, so I’m not sure it’s technically 100% legal if everyone signs it beforehand. I’m not totally sure – I’ll look at ours later and post back 🙂
