Hey there Canuck bees! I was just on the Canada Post website and found a few things that might help you with planning your mailing.
A calendar of stamps that are being issued this year so you can pick “appropriate” stamps like the african violet stamps coming out in March. Beautiful! If you’re like me, you probably don’t want to get stuck with the Canadian Diplomacy or Waterway Treaty stamps… LOL! The only bad thing is that they only show a month ahead.
If you don’t want to leave it to chance you can have personalized stamps made, but unfortunately not as cheaply as our friends across the border who can do them on zazzle.com. I’m insanely jealous of that.
The also offer a bit of a wedding guide with weights, etc so you can figure out what your postage pricing will be. If anyone can find anything with SIZES could you please let me know? I’m so paranoid I’m going to create this beautiful invitation suite and end up paying $4 an invitation in postage or something, LOL!

Thanks Bakerella! The Canada Post website was one of the first places I looked before making my invitations. I am going to take a sample one to the post office just to double check its weight and how much it will cost to mail. Thanks for sharing the love with the rest of us Canadian Bees!

Cool! I hadn’t seen the first page you posted before. I was looking at the sizes earlier and noticed that 4-bar envelopes are a bit smaller on the height dimension than the Canada Post minimum. I don’t know what would happen if you tried to mail them, though.

Thanks, Bakerella. This is great information.

Well, this is a post about mail, so of course I’m interested… I think 2/3 of my posts are about mailing stuff. I went to the post office and they gave me a brochure that had the dimensions and stuff.
4 Bar envelopes ARE technically too small by 1cm to go through as regular post. However, I had already bought them, so I experimented with a few, and they all got to their destination.
I bought my stamps the other day. I was looking for flower stamps, but apparently all post offices are just flooded wtih Olympic stamps, so I ended up going with the celebration stamp.
