We avoided this by hand delivering any that were in the same city. Canada Post is the worst!

Wow that is truly awful! I didn’t have any issues, but we had a lot less.

Nope. I had 1 invite out of the 100+ come back to my address but I just put it in the mail again and it reached its destination.

gunnabamissus :  I’m in the US but we had several Canadian guests. All of their invitations made it to them! USPS managed to lose a few though….

No issues at all, and they actually reached their destinations a lot quicker than we thought they would! I don’t know how Canada Post would know they are wedding invitations, especially because they’d be mixed up with all the other mail and not all together in a giant stack… I had two people on the same street get their invitations 3 days apart which I thought was weird, but none went missing.

gunnabamissus :  the only issue we had was one of our invites never reached our intended person cause they lived in student quarters (not uncommon, mail often gets lost there). Everyone else received it, even overseas. We sent everything with Canada Post.

gunnabamissus :  Directly at a post office counter in a shoppers drug mart, I wanted to make sure the postage was appropriate, sometimes the wedding invites are larger or heavier and require more postage!

We had 150 invitations and we didn’t have any issues with Canada Post.

100% of our invitations were received by our guests. Perhaps the people who have problems are the ones who ignore the rules on Canada Post (or USPS)? Mail is machine sorted . If addresses aren’t in the right place, the machines cannot scan them.

We only had 2 out of 50 that never made it. It was my sister and my aunt so they kind of knew all the details anyways. One was an hour drive away and the other across the country. It happens.

I dumped all of mine in the box at the end of the street in one go. They all made it no problem!
