@future_mrs_m:  My mom actaully just called me yesterday and said she bought a dress from Davids Bridal and she really loves it and it was reasonably priced. I dont have a picture but if you go on the Davids Bridal website you can see some of the dresses they have available for moms

My Mom got her dress at the bridal salon where I got my dress. My Future Mother-In-Law hasn’t gotten hers yet.

Been both the Bride and the MOB.

As another Bee has said, David’s Bridal has a decent assortment of MOB Dresses & Long Gowns and not crazy expensive.

(Have been a fan of DB for several years… even before they opened stores in Canada)

In the past, I’ve also bought long gowns for other occasions from a variety of sources… including… Sears (surprisingly) – as well as Bridal Shops (some have to order in if you choose something in paricular from a specific line… but others often have a selection of “samples” that they sell at reduced rates.  Worth taking a look at cause you never know what you’ll find at any given time in any size or design)

I also like to go to the US to shop… as we don’t live far from the US Border.

Some of my faves that often have a good assortment of dressy clothes… Dresses, Cocktail Dresses & Long Gowns are… Bon Ton – Lord & Taylor – Macy’s – and Nordstrom (and as Canadians if you are sure of your size… you can also order from many of these stores on-line for delivery in Canada)

Hope this helps,

Her dress was from Laura Petits. They have really nice dress and hers was 50% off. It looked amazing on the beach. It looked fantastic with my bmaids. And came with a beauifu bolero.

When my sister got married in 2011, my mom got her dress from Ritché in Toronto.  Most likely for my wedding, my mom will once again get her dress from there. Here’s the sample picture from the internet (exxcuse the prom website..clearly this isn’t a prom dress!!)
