Hi guys. I purchased a $50.00 Amazon gift card when I purchased my Kindle (best purchase ever!) but I blew through it pretty quickly and I’m now out of money on it. Do I have to buy another card online from Amazon or is there a way to re-load it? Or can I buy another card here in Ontario somewhere? Amazon’s shipping was really fast but I was just hoping to avoid the shipping time for the new card. I will probably be done my current book in a couple days and I don’t want to go through withdrawl. What do you guys do? Thanks!

Why do you want to use a gift card? I just have my credit card on file and then I can purchase a book at any time. I have only purchased a gift card as a gift for someone else. I believe you can purchase a gift card that is emailed to you though (that way you would not have to wait for the shipping).

Just register a credit card on your amazon account. You don’t need to keep using a gift card; however if you want one they have gift cards online that can be emailed.

If you do decide to get a gift card, make sure it’s for Amazon.com, not Amazon.ca. You can’t use a .ca gift card on the .com site (learned this the hard way).

Thanks guys. I didn’t realize I could do that but it makes a lot more sense.
@zooles: Thanks. That’s good to know.
