- Wedding: June 2011
We have spent a lot of time planning an amazing honeymoon to Chile and Argentina right after our August 6th wedding. 11 days ago my mom mentioned to me that there was a volcano that erupted in Chile. She happened to hear this from the televisions posting news while she was pumping gas. Otherwise, we probably would have had no idea! Should we pay off the rest of the trip and hope it is ok in 2 months? Our first leg of our trip includes a 2 day lake crossing from Chile to Argentina (Lakes that are typically close to freazing tempterature which are now grey and 114 degrees!) and then snowboard in Bariloche (which is now covered with a foot of ashes). I am so torn!
Should we walk away from our intricately planned honeymoon (loosing about $600 of the $5,000 trip) or should we by trip insurance and hope for the best? Any feedback would be amazing!
