Fiance and I booked Live Aqua for about that much per night (we’re staying 11 nights, and it is roughly 4000)–we bought it with the flight.. hotwire, expedia etc.. all offered the same price for the flight + hotel package, but man is it WAY cheaper to get the package than to book the hotel seperately.

We’re so excited to go back!  Last time we went we were absolutely in love–the food was great (especially the upscale dining option–amazing filet mignon, amazing spaetzel, etc… you can literally have filet every night there if you want), the pools were so nice and relaxing, the resort is small enough that it doesnt feel crowded, the drinks are great, the service is great… this time we’ve booked a couples massage which is surprisingly affordable (compared to local massage rates, its about the same!) and we’re very excited to do that. 🙂

We stayed at the Valentin Imperial Maya for our honeymoon and LOVED it. Would definitely recommend. It was beautiful, the staff were all amazing, the restaurants were great (and I really liked that you didn’t need reservations, you just show up for dinner wherever you want to eat). Our favourite thing was that even though the resort was full, it didn’t feel crowded at all. We could walk from our building to a restaurant and not see anyone on the paths (because there are so many tree-lined paths), we never had to wait long for a table at dinner, and we were always able to get chairs by the pool or beach. Excellent Margaritas, particularly at the Mexican restaurant. We don’t usually repeat-travel to places (we want to go as many places as we can), but we’d definitely go back to the Valentin!
