You have to do the ruins (Tulum is closest)-take a bathing suit; you have to do the cenotes as well and if that’s your thing the dolphin experience.

@Chelwilly:  there’s lots of things to do and see.  where are you staying?  there should be a travel desk at your resort with a bunch of brochures for different tours and adventures.  you can also take a taxi to playa del carmen’s 5th ave for shopping.  it’s huge and fun.  from there you can take a ferry over to cozumel and check out that island.  they have some of the very best scuba diving and snorkeling there.

i enjoy xplor and xel-ha.  i’ve been a few times and it’s always fun.  tulum or chichen itza are great to visit.

just google things to do in cancun and a ton of stuff will come up.  have fun.

chichenitza are the biggest ruins but its quite a long day!! there are express tours though where you skip the extras. the tour i went on was 7am-7pm i think but included lots of extra stops i wasnt that interested in

xcaret is nice to go to or one of the other big parks.

we didnt do this but my husband was bizarrely interested in the pirate ship dinner hahaha. basically the waiters are all pirates, you eat dinner and then another ship draws up and all the pirates fight each other. i didnt really see the appeal although it does have good reviews from lots of people

since we always seem to end up doing the activities i like on holiday haha next time we go to cancun im going to splurge on taking Darling Husband to the racetrack so he can drive a ferarri/lamborghini around and take photos with all the different cars. ill be patiently watching as it doesnt take all that long

there are loads of places to do ziplining or sort of active tours.

a dinner cruise? its hard, cause there are soooo many activities. but you always want some time to chill and take advantage of the all inclusiveness.

coco bongo has a nice show if you fancy going out out/

@DrDiane80:  the ruins are pretty close so its often dine as a half day excursion unless combined with other destinations

@Chelwilly: I went to Cancun for our Honeymoon in April. It was fabulous!! I’d been there before, but he hadn’t been. We stayed @ Fiesta Americana Condesa for 6 days 5 nights. We didn’t do a whole lot while we were there, spent much of our time relaxing poolside. We did go into the area that has tons of outdoor shops (not markets, like fancy stores, Coach, Gucci etc) called La Isla, it was real nice! We took a trip to Riveria Maya to go golfing, that was fun and interesting to see outside of Cancun. I love Cancun & will definitely go back sometime! Have a wonderful time, you’re going to LOVE it!
