Hey Bees! I need help with candle centerpieces. I have 8 table to decorate for the reception. The 4 outer tables are going to have large flower arrangements. The 4 inner tables will have candle centerpieces. All of the candles will vary in height. So far, each table will have the following: 1-6″ vase, 1-9″ vase, 1-12″ vase, 1-7.5″ hurricane vase, and 1-2.5″ bowl. There will also be small votives and rose petals scattered about the table. All candles (except votives) will set on a mirror. All candles will be floating candles except the hurricane vase-it will have a pillar candle. Does this sound okay or should I add vases that are taller than 12″? The tables are 60″ round tables. Thanks in advance for all of your help.

I am going to be doing something similar and it really depends on the venue. I have a VERY high ceiling venue and will be using taller vases but I really dont think it matters much. My fiance and I put one together for our parents and had them over for dinner to get a visual and some other opinions. We added subtle lighting in a couple and snow like details with glistening acorns and baby’s breath ( winter wedding )
LOTs of LUCk!

@DayDay: I like hte height as is for a specific reason….
I want to see the people across from me! I personally HATE the large/distracting/imposing centrepieces. I love that it sounds detailed and varied and it will be beautiful without chopping the table. 🙂 Don’t go higher than 12″!

Thank you all for the input. I think I’ll submerge some flowers in the 12″ vases
