I really wanted to do lots of candles for our rehearsal dinner but didn’t end up getting to it. Here is a picture that I found and really liked…

the first picture is from my friends wedding and the second is what i am going to use. for mine, i will also be scattering rose petals around it and possibly more candles, i still need to test how it looks.

I’m currently working on this project!  I’ve purchased the hurricanes (40…yikes!), and I’m debating how to do it!  I’m thinking of 2 different options:

1)  tall pillar candle with rose petals

2)  floating candle with pearls on the bottom

I have pictures on my laptop, but I’m at work now, so I’ll try to see if I can post my inspiration pictures later.  My only concern is that the pillar candles might get too expensive, so I definitely need to price out the options!  I’ve also thought of alternating between the 2.

what are your colors and wedding theme?  you could incorporate LOTS of different things as vase fillers!

I apologize if this is huge… but these are the candle centerpieces I used. I meant for them to be set up in a little more of a triangle configuration, but I thought they were really pretty, just the same. ๐Ÿ™‚

I have decided to make my own candles.  I really loved the idea of having multiple non-matching candles fixed around my larger floral center pieces and thought of buying many glasses (champaign, martini, margarita, beer mugs, tea cups, etc.) to make them.  I bought candle wax, wick, and dye from an online store and made them out of my garage.  It was fairly easy to do (it’s best to have a partner to help though…thanks mom!!!).  I don’t have a picture of my candles arranged nicely on a table, but I do have a picture of a few of my homemade candles drying (FYI colored straws were used to hold wick up while they dryed.  They will have since been removed and wick cut to size.)
