We are probably doing this. The venue supplies them if requested (it’s kind of an all-inclusive place, which I like because it’s less stress for me!) and they look like this (minus the rose petals).

The petals are something cheap that can easily dress up the candle-only centerpiece. In our case, the venue is ornate enough that we don’t need a ton of flowers. Hope this helps, and I’d love to see other bees’ ideas!

Not the greatest picture, but we did candles in hurricanes from Michaels with about 1.5 cups of beads in the bottom, then put a few shells & drift wood pieces on each table.

We’re doing morocan lanterns on top of antique books. No flowers at all.

I love candles, I’m also afraid of fire hazards, but they do look beautiful.

We are also doing candleabras ๐Ÿ™‚  Our venue doesn’t allow open flames without a candle holder?…not sure how to explain that.

Anyway, for our candleabras we are using ball candles, we found small round candle holders at the dollar store and drilled holes on the bottom so it can sit snugly on the candleabra with the stem sticking through so it can still hold the candle in place.  Problem solved.  Our venue approved them ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚  This is totally a ten steps ago mock up…most of what’s going on isn’t going on anymore…but the candleabras are still in!

@icetea:  My venue has the same policy!  Really cuts down on what you can do – doesn’t it ๐Ÿ™

We aren’t doing candles but at one point I thought we would so I saved a bunch of these pics, some even from other bees
