My Uncle/Decorator came up with a fabulous idea for my wedding reception. His vision was to seat our guests at long tables and have various styles and sizes of candelabras in the center along with flower petals and bouquets in vases (see picture) So my mother, the excited person she is, went out the very next day (without my knowledge) and bought more than 100 candleabras! Although this was very sweet of her, turns out my reception site does not allow open flames 🙁 A candle can only be lit while in a cylinder vase.
So now we have dozens of candlelabras and nothing to do with them! Any ideas on how we can use these throughout the reception/cocktail/or ceremony space? Our cocktail hour is outdoors as well as the ceremony. I’m assuming we can light candles outside. I just have no idea how to use these and Id feel really bad if we couldnt use them after my mom spent so much time (and money) buying them. I was thinking maybe we could put them on the tables without candles? (weird?) And just use candles in cylindrical vases for lighting..
This is a variation of what we had in mind except our candelabras are silver/pewter and our flowers are fuschia with various shades of pink. (sorry coulndt find a pic that better matches our vision) Any ideas would be so helpful!
