I’m not planning on it, but I would think that with most things that you ingest candy has an expiry date and you can always check that before you buy it. You may want to think about Easter candy cuz it tends to be theme related (easter bunnies and eggs) but if you can save some money and get what you want then I say go for it as long you check the expiry date.

@Kayl927:  I am waiting until a few months before and then I will freeze it! I wont be freezing licourice sticks as they dont do so well.

I purchased candy after Halloween for our July wedding! Look online for the shelf life for whatever candies you’re thinking about getting. Many of the chocolates we will be waiting to purchase until closer to July. A lot of hard candies have shelf lives of a year or more as long as its kept properly.
