Love the candy bar idea, I want to do one too! However, I suggest not using the mini Halloween candy because I’m always left with so much extra Halloween candy. Use some fancy stuff!

Love candy bars! We are doing an all gummy candy bar because me and my fiance are obsessed with Haribo!

red21 :  I’ve been to only one wedding when no one really touched the candy bar so perhaps that was an isolated event, But other than that, I think it’s a great idea. Sometimes it’s just a bit tricky how much candies to buy.

I have an insatiable sweet tooth so I’m 1000000% in favor of a candy bar! If you’re doing a seating chart, you could maybe even use the baggies instead of escort cards, and the sign at the display could explain what they’re for. You could do something similar to this:

I had a friend who did a candy bar at her wedding and she had SO MUCH leftover. She also spent a small fortune on the candy – she had all kinds of old school type candies – so it was kinda a bummer.  I don’t have much of a sweet tooth so it personally is not something that appeals to me, but it sounds like it appeals to a lot of others! I would just suggest getting moderately priced candy, make sure there are clear directions of what its there for/how to get it, and maybe have less of other types of dessert offerings to put more emphasis on the candy! 🙂
