I’m trying to decide what to do for our favors. I’ve already purchased a good amount of candy and will probably buy some more but should I….
Bag the candy myself- one for each guest? I really liked the idea of a candy buffet but after reading some of the crazy stories of guests hoarding candy, I don’t know if that’s the best idea. 🙁
Our reception hall is on the second floor and we’re having our placecards at the top of the stairs. I was thinking to turn that table into the candy bar after everyone arrives. Do you think this would help b/c it wouldn’t be in view (not in dining area) until everyone’s leaving?
Feedback please! I think the candy bar is cute and more fun so guests can pick out their own candy but Fiance thinks it’ll be a mess. (he won’t be the ones filling up the bags tho! lol) Now I just don’t know what to do

I really wanted one but unfortunately our crooks of a venue say you HAVE TO do it through them and it STARTS at $4 per person (ridiculous), but if I were to have one… I’d say don’t bag it- it takes away from the cuteness! And talk to the venue about what they think the best option is for setting it up- they’ve probably had this situation before 🙂

We’re doing our own twist on the candy buffet/bar. But, we’re gonna leave it open for the guests to go and get their own candy. Considering there’s gonna be a buffet meal and cupcakes (and who knows what else), we’re pretty sure we won’t need a boatload of candy, lol.
Plus, we’re also have actual favors, so the candy is more because I LOVE it and want one and my Fiance came up with the kick-ass idea!!! (NOOOOO, I’m not tellin’ what it is, either 😛 you’ll have to wait until closer to/after the wedding!)

Ya don’t bag it, we had no issues at all. Everything went smoothly. Plus it’s so much fun to set it up and make it look all pretty. Nothing was a mess at all either.
