My wedding was in October so I had a “Halloween” themed candy buffet.  It didn’t necessarily go with the theme of the wedding, but it complimented it.  My colors were purple and orange, but we chose to use all kinds of candy, wrapped and unwrapped.  We also had mello cream pumpkins, gummy candy corn and homemade chocolate covered pretzel rods.  We purchased all the containers from various places like Michael’s, Home Goods, Walmart and they were various sizes and shapes.  For the guests to take the candy home, I purchased tab top bags (like coffee bags) in craft paper and I ordered them online.  I rubber stamped the bags with “Trick or Treat”.  They all went into these cute metal jack-o-lanterns I found.  The final touch was a picture of our dog holding a bag of candy in her mouth, with “Trick or Treat” super imposed on the picture.  It was really beautiful.

Monochromatic candy will be very expensive.  The candy isn’t always the best selection either.  Something to keep in mind.
