Hello! a friend of mine had a great idea that were going to go with. Were going to find some cute wrapping paper in the wedding colors and wrap all the wrapable candies like the bars.

My question for you is, are you also going to have favors or will the candy suffice?

I like the idea of color coordinating.  The PP suggestion is a good one too!

I think color coordinating is a little over the top. I might look at a coordinated buffet and think “nice” but I’d enjoy the one filled with delicious, popular candies more. Maybe put a color coordinated ribbon around the jar or something?

I don’t think it’s absolutely necessary for your candies to be matching! You could always decorate the table or jars with your wedding colors. I would add more chocolate, but thats because I LOVE chocolate 🙂 Most chocolates are brown, so I don’t think it would throw off your colors too much.

I don’t think you need to go over the top with color coordinating, but I think some consistency makes the buffet look better. When there are tons of different colors, especially within the same jars, I find the visual overwhelming.

I think color coordinating looks nice, but definitely isn’t necessary.

Keep your original idea and add one more chocolate option like chocolate covered almonds.

I think its ok to add brown, black, white and silver in. So you can add:

    • Hugs
    • Kisses
    • Black Licorice
    • Other Jelly Bean flavors
    • Lollipops
    • Other things

If you lived in NYC I would tell you to go to Dylan’s candy bar and look around.  Do you have a similar crazy huge candy store in LA where you can go and get ideas?

ETA: There is a dylan’s candy bar in LA now.  I googled it and a news story came up.

How about dark chocolate Hershey’s kisses? They come in purple wrappers. You could get them in blue too, I think. Also M&M’s come in multiple colors. Also see if you can find ice cubes. I believe they are blue foil wrappers, very smooth chocoalte so good!

Perhaps you could also get those mini bars of chocolate and add a wrapper in your colors? Like the mini mr. goodbars. et? Lindst squares or truffles too may come in purple or blue.

@MrsWTD:  Definitely do Hugs and kisses though because they’re my favorite and neutral colored!
