We are doing a candy buffet for favors and are trying to work out all the details. I love the look of candy buffets that were done in the couple’s wedding colors.I’m trying to decide if we should do the buffet in wedding colors or just buy candy from the store.
If you did a candy buffet at your wedding, what did you do? Or if you have been to a wedding with a candy buffet for favors, what did you see? Candy in the wedding colors or just a variety of candy?

While visually the monochromatic ones look cool, just make sure there is a tasty variety still, no one cares as nice how it looks if none of the candy is stuff people like and want to eat!

I think we’re going to do a variety with primarily our wedding colors, in larger bowls, but a couple of bowls will have some mixed candies because my FI wants some specific kinds that aren’t the right colors.

Our venue did the whole candy bar (with a few specific foreign candies we supplied). I love how it is not in our color (purples) because they used good stuff!! A lot of the time with matching colors, it is cheap candies, not “brand” name ones

Thanks for the input everyone! I liked the look of the monochromatic buffets, but was finding the selection of candies was limited and a bit more expensive.
@monkey786 – your candy buffet turned out beautiful! I love the look of the assortment of candies.

@MarchBride2013: Nope, we’re doing traditional Halloween candy. Most of it will be individually wrapped though.
