We are doing a candy buffet as favors. I have a few more jars than I had anticipated having(I just kept buying…and buying…..).
Does anyone know if there are any places that sell inexpensive candy(outside of Costco/Top Foods). I’d actually like to get it online so it’s nicely sealed and will keep for a month or so. Would like to finalize this kind of stuff a few weeks before the weeding to get it off my platter(I’ve upgraded from a plate). 🙂

Are you doing specific colors? I bought a bunch of stuff on bulkfoods.com that was quite inexpensive in comparison. However, it wasn’t exactly candy for instance. Yogurt covered pretzels. 5lbs are $14 bucks.
5lbs of heart mints $13

i’m having the same dillema….most candy comapnies won’t ship to me because the forecast is above 80 degrees and they say it will ruin the shipment. i am trying to get salt water taffy, rock candy on swizzle sticks, candy sticks, M&Ms, etc. i live in the south so the next time it’s going to be below 80 will be in november….3 months after my wedding!

Thanks, ladies! It does look like bulkfoods.com has some awesome stuff. Our colors are green and white. I love how you can sort by color!
I did notice that they won’t ship to warm places. For me, I’m in the rainy state – Washington, where its 63 here right now. I do want to get it soon though – good point you made – because come July they may not ship here either because we’ll be up in the 80’s and 90’s fairly consistantly.
I do love the idea of a candy buffet, if they are done correctly. I want to make sure we have enough for everyone – which is hard to judge because some candy may go more quickly than another. Best of luck to you both on this venture – I’m interested to see how it turns out! 🙂

I did mine and had no issues. Bulkfoods, will actually offer you a cooler if they think it’s too hot in your area. I did mine and purple gold and white and those pretzels were the favorite.

I got most of my candy at BJs, but also oriental trading. What I found with OT that was great was their shipping costs are based on dollar amount spent, not weight – that can kill you!
